On December 18th 2009, District of Columbia Mayor, Adrian Fenty, signed the historic Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Equality Amendment Act of 2009 at All Souls Church, Unitarian. It was a historic day and Standing on the Side of Love was there to capture this footage.

DC Mayor Adrian Fenty has promised to sign the bill, which was co-sponsored by 10 of the council's 13 members. The final vote Tuesday was 11-2.
